Facilities & Equipment

Melbourne First Aid uses the conference facilities in the Medina building at 550 Flinders St Melbourne.  It is located between Spencer & King Sts., just near the Melbourne Aquarium.  You can get there by catching a train or tram to Southern Cross railway station (Spencer St) and walking about 600m.

The modern conference rooms are spacious, carpeted, well lit with external windows/natural light.

Our trainers deliver a presentation using a laptop PC and data projector, and use:

  • - one CPR manikin per person for the entire session;
  • - about half our manikins are adult-sized, the remainder are an even mix of child and infant-sized, so our participants have every opportunity to practise CPR on a range of body sizes.

Hygiene

Melbourne First Aid takes a number of measures to ensure a high level of hygiene during the practical sessions.  For instance, each participant is loaned their own clean manikin "face" for use during the practical session.  Faces are cleaned and sterilised between each session.  Participants are also provided with faceshields for use on child and infant manikins.
